Real-Self Believe

ree

Don't believe what people tell you. Just believe in them.

We all get lost in our stories sometimes. It’s easy to miss that it’s all made up:

 - I’ve always been this way!

 - I should be better at this by now!

 - I have to get promoted within 3 years!

 - Everyone else keeps getting in my way!

 - It's too late to do anything new – I’m nearly 50!

I suspect that, deep down, part of us knows that these are limitations we put on ourselves.

Almost always, they exist for sound, self-protective reasons.

When people get lost, what they need is someone to not believe their story, but instead believe in them.

The real them, the one without the limitations.

When they reconnect to that authentic self, it’s always a lovely moment.

There’s a slowing down, a confused recognition, a flicker of a smile.

As the limitation slips away, the person feels lighter, calmer, more grounded. They see themselves again.

And when we see who we really are, the path ahead becomes clear. We’re no longer lost.

If you find yourself lost at a crossroads, the first move is to step away from your story.

There’s a part of you that knows the way ahead. All it takes is to slow down enough to see.
